Ashley Cole's England place under threat, warns Hodgson

Roy Hodgson  has admitted  Ashley Cole 's role as  England 's first-choice left-back is under threat. The 33-year-old has featured in just two Premier League games in 2014 with Jose Mourinho mainly using Cesar Azpilicueta on the left side of Chelsea's defence. Cole faces competition for an England place with Everton’s Leighton Baines as well as Southampton’s Luke Shaw, the latter of whom Hodgson hinted could be included in his squad to face Denmark on March 5.
